Brief
To provide audio, visuals and lighting for a staff awards event. The event was held in a school hall that normally is quite bare and has standard on or off lighting that was not ideal for a formal dinner setting.
Solution
Audio
- The schools mixing desk was up on a balcony which was not an ideal location so we provided our own audio control desk and were able to operate it from a more suitable position. We then patched into the schools amplifier and speaker system.
- A requirement was to have some punchy sting music for as people went to receive their awards. We provided some additional sub speakers to give the music a little more punch!
- A band provided the after dinner entertainment so we proved musicians foldbacks and microphones.
- In addition a hand held radio mics were provided for the presenters and a lectern microphone for speeches.
Visuals
- A projector and screen was already installed in the venue.
- A monitor screen by the lectern was provided so the presenters could see the screen without turning.
- We provided a laptop with the prepared on screen presentation of the awards which included the nominees and winners names as they were announced.
Lighting
- The school already had lighting bars, cable infrastructure built in so we only needed to provide the lights and the control desk.
- Dimmable floodlights were used to control the general lighting in the hall.
- Stars were projected around the hall and the council logos projected onto the front walls.
- Stage lighting was provided for the presenters and the entertainment band.
- Moving effects lighting were used while the band were performing.
